UNILAG open hostels for exams

The University of Lagos (UNILAG) will today (Thursday) begin gradual re-opening of its hostels to students for the second-semester examinations.

The second-semester examinations of the 2019/2020 academic session are scheduled to hold from August 26 to September 25, 2021.

Following the incidence of COVID-19 in the university, the Senate had at its meeting of July 12 directed the immediate closure of all hostels to checkmate further spread of the infection.

A statement issued by the university’s Registrar, Oladejo Azeez, assured that the university will adhere strictly to all COVID-19 protocols throughout the examination period.

He said special arrangements had been made with the Lagos University Teaching Hospital (LUTH) and Gbagada General Hospital for necessary isolation and treatment of any incidence of COVID-19 case during the period.
