President Muhammadu Buhari has received the report of the Special Presidential Visitation Panel set up to investigate the controversy surrounding the removal of Professor Oluwatoyin Ogundipe as Vice-Chancellor of the University of Lagos.
Minister of Education, Adamu Adamu received the report on Thursday from the Chairman of the Panel, Professor Tukur Sa’ad on behalf of President Buhari.

Adamu, while receiving the report said: “The visitor of the university, after due consideration of the report, will take a decision on the matter as appropriate in order to restore peace and conducive learning atmosphere in the university of Lagos and the university system as a whole.”
The crisis rocking the institution started when Ogundipe was sacked as Vice-Chancellor on August 12 over allegations of infractions and gross misconduct by the school’s Governing Council, headed by Dr Wale Babalakin.
The federal government had however suspended both Babalakin and Prof. Ogundipe pending the outcome of the investigations by the panel.
