The Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU), University of Jos chapter has constructed a 1,000 capacity twin lecture theatre in order to boost academic activities in the school.
The N63.2 million worth theatre was donated to the management of the University of Jos yesterday by members of the union for onward use upon resumption from the COVID-19 shutdown.
Speaking at the presentation ceremony the chairperson of ASUU University of Jos, Dr. Lazarus Maigoro, said despite the face off with the federal government over the Integrated Payroll and Personnel Information System (IPPIS) which has made them not to receive salaries for several months now, they were still able to task themselves in order to construct the lecture theatre.
