The University of Benin (UNIBEN) has commenced investigations into the allegations of sexual harassment against a professor in the Faculty of Arts of the institution.
This followed an investigative committee set up by the management of the institution on allegations against the professor.
City & Crime learnt that the management took the decision after a graduate of the institution took to social media and called out the lecturer for sexual harassment.
The university alumnus alleged that she suffered untold sexual harassment from the said professor during her undergraduate studies.

The circular said the information would assist the committee in carrying out a thorough and fair investigation.
“Be rest assured that your identity will be protected, and all information will be treated with utmost confidentiality,” the circular read in part.
