Uniabuja students mourn colleague, Murjanatu

The Students Union Government (SUG) of the University of Abuja (Uniabuja) has mourned the death of a 400-level student of the university, Murjanatu Zubairu, who died in a motor accident on the Lugbe-Airport, Abuja, last Friday.

In a statement, the President of the SUG, Comrade Abdullahi Bashir Mohammed, said, “It was with a heavy heart that the union received the shocking news of the sudden demise of our colleague who was the Speaker of the National Union of Education Students Association (NUESA) in the Department of Arts Education of the university.’’

He described the deceased student as a dedicated and committed leader whose contributions would never be forgotten.

Recall that the late Murjanatu was earlier declared missing while on transit from Piwoyi to the school but was later confirmed to have died in a motor accident.
