Unapologetic powerful woman: Mono-strapped dress lands Rahama Sadau in another controversy

Famous Kannywood actress, Rahama Sadau’s social media accounts – Twitter, Instagram and Facebook have been inundated with comments and reactions over the past three days.

This was informed by the photo posted by the screen diva’s on her timeline, which exposed parts of her upper body.

Captioned ‘unapologetic powerful woman’, the upper part of her body was revealed in the accompanying photo. This has generated mixed reaction, especially as a result of her cultural background as a northern Muslim with stringent dressing code for women.

According to Islamic teachings, it is prohibitive of a woman of Sadau’s age to dress in a manner that reveals part of her upper body.

Some of the followers of the multi-talented Kannywood/Nollywood actress considered her action as an affront to Islamic culture, calling her to amend her ways.

However, this is not the first time that Rahama would be involved in controversies since she started her acting career years ago.

It could be recalled that Motion Pictures Practitioners Association of Nigeria (MOPPAN) on October 2nd, 2016 suspended the actress for similar offence following what it termed indecent appearance in a Hausa musical video alongside Jos based musician, ClassiQ.

Some fans argued that the controversies surrounding the ban opened new vistas to Sadau’s career and exposed her to the global stage. Few days after the ban, she was invited to the United States of America, USA, by one of the world’s celebrated artistes, Akon. It was reported that she was featured in a musical video during her stay in US. Upon her return to the country, she was also featured in Nollywood movies and subsequently produced her movie ‘’Tatoo’’.

We don’t even want your apology, what for ? but put it at the back of your mind, u will surely apologize to your maker. He didn’t create u to be exposing your body to everyone… No matter how powerful u may be, u will definitely return to him. Repent before it will b too late.

You’re very beautiful indeed. Unfortunately, some fellow has decided to look beyond the picture and appreciate you. Rather, they play god and judge.

Abu-huraira , a companion of prophet Muhammad quotes the Prophet as saying; ” A women who reveals her body or even wears tight fitting clothes wont come within 500 years of the smell of Jannah.” Allah ka bamu ikon gyarawa . Ameen.

Why not just pray for her and also ask for forgiveness for saying negative things about her. Allah ya shirya mu ?
