The Governor of Ebonyi State, Engr. David Umahi, yesterday, said he will jettison zoning in sharing of political positions if re-elected for a second term.
Gov. Umahi insisted that only local government areas that generated more votes for candidates of the PDP would get more appointments.
Umahi dropped the hint at Ikwo Council Area of the state where he officially flagged off campaign of the party for the February 16 and March 2 polls.
“As you know, Ikwo has only three commissioners, while my own has two. So, what we are saying here is that appointment shall not be based on where you come from. It is going to be based on support for the party and all the candidates of PDP,” he explained.
