The National Council of Ulama has called on Kaduna State Governor Nasir El-Rufai to ensure that the perpetrators of incessant violence in Southern Kaduna are fished out and punished accordingly to deter trouble makers and ensure early end to the crisis.
Taking a similar stance, the Jere Unity and Development Association (JUDA) appealed to the Federal Government to upgrade divisional police stations and other security agencies to enhance security and protection of the community and prevent further attacks.
Speaking at the end of an emergency meeting held in Kaduna yesterday, the National Chairman of the National Council of Ulama, Sheikh Abubakar Abdullahi Tureta regretted the incessant crisis in the southern part of the state and appealed to the federal and state governments to find a lasting solution.
He said, “The crisis will never stop until those behind it are brought to book and dealt with.”
The Chairman of the Jere Unity and Development Association (JUDA), Malam Hayatudeen Sulieman said in a meeting at Government Day Secondary School in Kagarko local government area yesterday that the federal government would do well to establish army formations in Jere cheifdom ýto strengthen security.
