The United Kingdom is set to get its second female Prime Minister Wednesday if Prime Minister David Cameron’s pronouncement is anything to go by.
Cameron has said he will resign his position as Prime Minister paving the way for Theresa May, the remaining sole contender for his position to become Prime minister decades after the UK had its first Prime Minister, Margaret Thatcher.
"After that I expect to go to (Buckingham Palace) and offer my resignation," he told reporters outside his office in Downing Street, according to Aljazeera English. "So we will have a new prime minister in that building behind me by Wednesday evening."
