Amidst the political tension over Brexit in the United Kingdom, the Prime Minister, Theresa May, on Wednesday received the support of the nation’s parliament after winning a keenly contested no-confidence poll by 19 votes.
May won the majority confidence votes with the support of the Conservatives-led coalition in the UK parliament having 325 votes against the Labour-led group which has 306 votes.
Consequently, she would continue to lead the government, having put to rest speculations on the likely general elections in the country.
She is expected to go back to the European Union (EU) to renegotiate the Brexit deal.
