A group of 19 senior military officers and civil servants from the United Kingdom’s Royal College of Defence Studies (RCDS) have arrived Nigeria on the first leg of their West African Study Tour.
The visit is to examine the current position and future prospects for the preservation and enhancement of security, stability and prosperity of Nigeria and the West African region, according to a statement from the British High Commission.
The group includes representatives from across the UK, the rest of Europe as well as Afghanistan, Vietnam, Burma and Malaysia, among others.
The group was billed to meet a number of ministers in Abuja, and have audiences with the leadership of the National Assembly, state governors and traditional rulers.
They would also visit Sierra Leone and Senegal.
