Wuwu Ore, the brainchild of the Olori Atwatse III geared towards providing medical care and palliatives for children, women, and youths in the remotest, riverine areas of the Warri Kingdom and environs, has held the second edition of its quarterly care drive.
The outreach, which took place on Saturday, April 2nd, at Ugbolokposo Community, Delta State, was led by Olori Atuwatse III along with partners of the foundation and medical professionals.

Speaking at the occasion, the lead Medical Consultant of the outreach, Dr Utake said, “The vision for this medical outreach was borne out of a deeply seated desire in the heart of our mother, Olori Atuwatse III, to care for the most vulnerable indigenes of the kingdom, particularly the children and women.
“The goal is to continue to educate and care for various communities within the kingdom, providing expert medical care as well as palliatives and empowerment packages until the Warri Kingdom becomes the envy of all, with more economically stable and self-reliant indigenes in its remotest areas.”
The outreach provided a wide range of medical services in dentistry, ophthalmology, paediatrics and other specialist fields.
Expectant and new mothers were guided through healthcare talks and child-mother safety consultations.
Out-patient units were also set up for HIV screenings, retroviral treatments, and COVID-19 tests.
In her address, Olori Atuwatse III acknowledged the efforts of the community leaders in mobilising indigenes for the outreach.
She stated that: “A big ‘thank you’ to our indefatigable volunteers and medical consultants. With all your valued support, we can touch more lives and change the fortunes of our people in no distant time.”
Indigenes went home with Wuwu-Ore -kits and nutritious staples such as rice, beans, and other grains.
Established in 2021, Wuwu Ore has significantly impacted hundreds of homes in different communities in Delta State and continues to establish veritable channels for accessible and qualitative medical care, especially for the critically ill, children, women, and the elderly.
