UAE president confers Nigerian ambassador with Medal of Independence

The President of the United Arab Emirates (UAE), His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, has conferred on the Nigerian Ambassador to the country, Mohammed Dansanta Rimi, the Medal of Independence of the First Order following the end of his tenure in the Arabian nation.

Sheikh Shakhboot bin Nahyan Al Nahyan, Minister of State, awarded the medal to the ambassador during a meeting at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs headquarters in Abu Dhabi, explaining the UAE’s keenness to enhance ties with Nigeria across various spheres.

He also praised the ambassador’s role in advancing the bilateral relations during his tenure in the UAE, and expressed his wishes for further successes and development.

On his part, Rimi expressed his sincere gratitude to His Highness, Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, and highlighted the achievements of the UAE that demonstrate the leadership’s ambitions to elevate the emirate to a global position and reputation while commending the progress achieved in the relations between the two countries.
