Primary school teachers in the Federal Capital Territory have finally ended their two months old strike, which was declared on January 26.
Daily Trust learnt that the strike action, which was officially called off on Thursday, has affected teachers in three area councils namely Bwari, Kuje and Kwali.

This is even as the schools in the remaining three councils have since resumed about a month ago, following an agreement between the councils and the teacher’s union.
FCT chairman, National Union of Teachers, Kubwa chapter, Comrade Ameh Baba, said the action was based on the understanding reached between their union and the three councils over their demands.
The suspended strike was declared just three weeks into the second term’s calendar, a situation that raised concern among the pupils’ parents over the effect on the education of their wards.
