While commiserating with the dead and all those injured, the lawmaker appealed to the youths to leave the streets now and go home.

“The hitherto peaceful #EndSARS protests has clearly been infiltrated by criminal elements hence we need to restore peace and orderliness first,” he said.

In Akure, Governor Akeredolu’s campaign office along Ilesa- road was also set on fire by hoodlums.

In Okitipupa, over fifty inmates at the Nigerian Correctional Service’s Custodial Centre were said to have been set free when hoodlums took over the town, a police station was also said to have been razed.

The hoodlums were also said to have attacked a local government secretariat and PHCH Office in the town.

The INEC Office in Okitipupa was also said to have been attacked and looted.

It was gathered that the youths had gathered in the morning to continue their protest but security operatives moved in to enforce the curfew order.

This was said to have angered the protesters in Okitipupa who later regrouped and attack the police station before moving to the prison.
