Two members of the Gombe State House of Assembly, Mr. Rambi Ibrahim Ayala (Billiri-East) and  Mr. Tulfukut M. Kardi (Billiri-West) have claimed threat to their lives.
In a  letter signed by the two lawmakers, which was sent to the Director, Department of State Service (DSS), commissioner of police, DPO, Billiri, Mai Tangale, president, Tangale Community Development Association (TCDA)  and caretaker committee chairman of Billiri Local Government Area, the legislators said  they were constantly threatened, especially from the time they made their position known regarding a commissioner nominee from  their council.
The legislators alleged that people of Billiri opposed the nomination of Mr Robenson Zebulun Wasa, by Governor Ibrahim Hassan Dankwambo.
Though Wasa has not yet reacted to the controversy surrounding his nomination, his close associates said there was no reason to question his integrity because he served in the same capacity in the past.
Wasa came from Baganje District which had three key political appointees.
