Two persons have been reportedly shot dead while dozens of residents have fled their homes as bandits in their numbers invaded Kadna and Naknuwape communities in Shiroro Local Government Area of Niger State.
Daily Trust gathered that two other persons including a girl were also abducted during the attack that happened around 7pm on Saturday.
The detail of the attack was sketchy as of the time of filing this report as attack was said to be still ongoing around 7pm on Saturday.
Residents told our correspondent that the attack was launched when villagers were breaking their fast.
The spokesperson, Coalition of Shiroro Association, Salis Mohammed Sabo, told our correspondent that “terrorists are on rampage in Kadna and Naknuwape, suburbs of Gwada. These communities are less that 5 kilometres away from Gwada town. As I speak with you, the attack is ongoing.”
The Niger State Police Command’s Public Relations Officer, DSP Wasiu Abiodun, could not be reached on telephone as of the time of filing this report.
