Two persons are feared dead in a rival cult clash at the Mile 1, Diobu axis of Port Harcourt, Rivers State.
Our reporter learnt that the incident, which involved two rival cult groups, the Bar Beach Deck of Iceland and Castro House of Deygbam, happened on Saturday.
Sources from the area informed our reporter that a cult group, Deygbam, led by an outlawed Iceland member had ambushed the leader of the rival cult group and cut him severally with a machete, leading to his death.
The source said the suspected Deygbam cultists after hacking their first target to death stormed a building where another member of Bar Beach Iceland cult group was believed to be residing but met his absence.

The source stated that the building was later set ablaze resulting in the death of an aged woman.
The culprits later fled the scene before the arrival of officers from Divisional Police headquarters Mile 1 and other police formations.
The incidents were said to have heightened tension in the area over fears of reprisal attack by the two rival cult groups.
The spokesperson for the Rivers State Police Command, SP Grace Iringe Koko confirmed the death of the leader of the rival cult group.
She added that the commissioner of police had deployed tactical teams to ensure there was no breakdown of law and order in the area.
