Two rival cult groups clashed at the Imo State University, Owerri yesterday, leaving at least two persons feared dead.
It was gathered that the clash occurred between members of Aye and Bagger confraternities at the university.
The show of supremacy between the two groups started at a students’ hostel called Delight, situated in front of the university’s main gate.
It took a police detachment from the Anti-cultism unit of the state police command and Orji police division to restore normalcy to area.
The police spokesman, Andrew Enwerem, was not available for comments at the time of filing this report, but a source said the police have arrested some of the cult members, while the fleeing ones are being hunted.
