At least, eight people and three vehicles were involved in the crash.
The spokesperson of the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) in Ogun State, Florence Okpe, confirmed the incident in Abeokuta on Wednesday.
Okpe said the suspected cause of the multiple crash and explosions was overspeeding on the part of one of the trucks.
“The fire has been put off by Firefighters, traffic has been diverted to Ibadan-Lagos section and FRSC personnel on standby to clear the obstructions.
“Motorists are advised to drive cautiously, obey traffic rules and regulations,” Okpe said.
