Two-armed robbery suspects have been arrested for allegedly snatching a car using a toy gun.
The suspects, Rasheed Yusuf and Chike Ayema, were arrested at Ago-Okota Base 92 at the weekend. The police team from Ilasamaja Division recovered two guns and an Ash-coloured Toyota Corrolla car from the suspects.
Lagos State Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), Chike Oti, alleged that Rasheed Yusuf had allegedly robbed one Mrs Rubbi Unikpe of her bag, phones and car at her shop along community road off Ago Palace Way.
Oti said on receipt of the information, the police team gave the hoodlums a hot chase.
He said the detectives eventually arrested the suspects and recovered the car and a Beretta Pistol
He said Chike Ayema was arrested using a toy gun to rob a woman at Ali-Dada Junction, Ago-Okota at about 2100hrs of same date.
