The police in Lagos have detained the driver of the truck which conveyed the container that fell off the bridge at Ojuelegba, Surulere on Wednesday, killing three persons.
The three victims were trapped inside a black-coloured Sport Utility Vehicle (SUV) when the container fell on it, while a fourth person who was driving a white-coloured Nissan car escaped death.
Daily Trust gathered that the DPO of Surulere Division, CSP Monday Agbonika, arrested the driver of the truck.
Police sources told our correspondent yesterday that the truck driver identified as Wasiu Adeleke, was arrested for reckless
driving. Policemen have been deployed to safeguard the cement-laden container.
