Two people riding on a motorcycle were crushed to death at Oke-Baale area in Osogbo, Osun State Sunday.
Eyewitnesses told Daily Trust that the rider of the motorcycle overtook a commercial bus and faced the truck that was descending from the other lane.

The truck crashed and smashed both the rider and the passenger and they died on the spot.
The driver of the bus escaped but the driver of the truck was arrested by policemen and taken to the state traffic office.
The Police Public Relations Officer for Osun State Police Command, Mrs Yemisi Opalola, confirmed the incident.
She said the situation had been brought under control in the area and that the corpses, the motorcycle and the truck had been evacuated from the road.
The PPRO cautioned motorcycle riders to always avoid overspeeding and wrong overtaking so as to prevent avoidable deaths on the road
