Truck crushes man in Anambra

A truck on Tuesday crushed a man at the Immigration Junction on the Awka-Onitsha Expressway in Anambra State.

A witness said that the Dangote truck with body code number: OPL-1A-022, was on speed when it ran over the pedestrian.

He said three men were involved in the accident but that the other two escaped unhurt.

The witness also said the truck’s driver wanted to escape but was blocked by someone and he and his truck were taken to B Police Division, Awka.

The spokesperson of the Anambra State Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC), Margaret B. Onabe, said that a rescue team rushed the victim to hospital where he was confirmed dead and his corpse deposited in the mortuary.
