Troops kill bandits in Katsina

The air component of Operation Hadarin Daji has destroyed another armed bandits’ camp and killed some of their fighters in Ungwar Ali-Kere in Katsina State.

Coordinator, Defence Media Operations, Major-General John Enenche, in a statement on Wednesday, said the operation was carried out based credible human intelligence reports and confirmatory surveillance missions which indicated that dozens of armed bandits had established a camp at the location.

He said that the air component dispatched an appropriate force package of Nigerian Air Force fighter jets and helicopter gunships which engaged the location in successive passes, destroying portions of the camp and neutralizing some of the bandits.
