A prominent traditional ruler in Osun State, Oba Hammed Adekunle Oyelude Makama, has urged Nigerians to rally round the new administration of President Bola Tinubu to succeed.
Makama who is the Chairman of the Council of Owu Obas and Chiefs in Yoruba land said the new President has good intention and is determined to liberate Nigeria from its various challenges.
The monarch, who is among the recipients of recent national honours, called on Nigerians to pray for Tinubu and also play their individual roles in efforts to build a new Nigeria.
In recognition of Oba Oba Hammed Adekunle Oyelude Makama’s contribution to peace, unity and development in the country as well as his service to humanity, President Muhammadu Buhari bestowed Commander of the Order of the Niger (CON) on him.
The traditional ruler appealed to all stakeholders to shun divisive tendencies and support leaders to deliver the dividends of democracy to the people.
