The winter football transfer market in Europe has not started bubbling yet but teams are making moves to get more players in to improve them.

Here are the major transfer rumours for today:

Arsenal eye Yves Bissouma

According to football.london understands that Arsenal are considering a move for Brighton & Hove Albion midfielder, Yves Bissouma.

The midfielder is believed to be open to the idea of joining the north London outfit if the opportunity arose.

Bissouma is an Arsenal fan and knows Gabriel Magalhaes well from their time together at French club Lille.

The Mali international, who is 24, has made a strong impression in the Premier League this season, acting as one of Brighton’s shinning lights in what has been a tough campaign for them so far.

The prospect of him joining the Gunners is bound to excite the Arsenal supporters.

Liverpool to hijack Real Madrid’s move for Alaba

David Alaba

Liverpool have made a last-ditch bid to hijack Real Madrid’s move for David Alaba on a free transfer, according to reports.

The Bayern Munich star, 28, is available for nothing in the summer when his current contract runs out.

Liverpool have made a last-gasp bid to sign David Alaba, the SUN has claimed.

The versatile Austrian defender is already able to negotiate pre-contract terms with foreign clubs ahead of a free move on July 1.

On Monday, reports claimed Real Madrid had already ‘won the race’, beating Barcelona to the punch, with the Nou Camp giants unable to afford him.

But Liverpool haven’t given up hope of stealing Alaba away from Real Madrid’s clutches, according to transfer guru Fabrizio Romano.

PSG want Ramos, Messi

Sergio Ramos

Real Madrid skipper, Sergio Ramos, has reportedly been told by Paris Saint-Germain that they want to sign him and Lionel Messi this summer.

Both the Spanish centre-back and the Barcelona legend are in the final year of their contract and are free to speak to other clubs about a switch at the end of the season.

Los Blancos boss Zinedine Zidane has spoken of his confidence that Ramos, 34, will pen a new deal at the Bernabeu.

But reports from Spain have claimed that the World Cup winner is seriously considering his future having been courted by Les Parisiens.

The SUN quoted El Chiringuito TV reporter Josep Pedrerol as saying, the ex-Sevilla defender has spoken to Real president Florentino Perez about PSG’s proposal.

He stated that ahead of Madrid’s 1-1 draw against Elche, Ramos told Perez: “I am not accepting the proposal you have made to me and from now on I will listen to offers.”

Before adding: “Someone from PSG has told me that they are going to create a great team with me and Messi.”

Ozil to move to DC United

Mesut Ozil-3
Mesut Ozil

Mesut Ozil is in negotiations with MLS side DC United, football.london understands.

The MLS side have offered an ‘attractive’ package to the former Germany international which includes the expansion of his M10 brand across the United States.

Ozil was not registered by the Gunners for the first half of the Premier League season and has been training away from the first team in recent weeks.

DC United’s offer includes the expansion of Ozil’s 39 Steps Coffee brand in their Audi Field stadium, his own merchandise line and plans have been drawn up to make him the ‘face’ of the Washington-based side.

Mesut’s agent, Dr Erkut Sogut, has a close relationship with DC United executive Sam Porter, who was influential in bringing Wayne Rooney to the club from Everton in the summer of 2018.
