Transcorp Hotels Plc will commission a 5,000-seater capacity event centre in Abuja by the first quarter of 2024.

The CEO Transcorp Hotels Plc, Mrs. Dupe Olusola stated this while speaking during a televised interview.

She said Transcorp Hotels is investing in the event centre with multiple offerings because of the increasing demands of large spaces for conferences and other events in Nigeria.

She said the Transcorp event centre will provide an advantage because the hotel has sufficient capacity to provide accommodation to support event participants.

“We are also planning to launch an event centre by the first quarter of next year. It’s a 3,500-to-5,000-seater capacity. We will be providing so many facilities in the centre. It’s a larger event hall compared to what we have now. We found out that people are coming all over the world to have events in Nigeria and having this facility in Abuja is strategic because we will provide both accommodation and hall” she stated.

She also said Transcorp is constantly evolving ways to meet customers’ dynamic preferences.

In the hospitality world, customers’ preferences keep changing. “We adapt to the changing needs of our customers and to the business environment. In 2021, we launched the Asset Light Strategy called Aura. This is a hospitality platform that on your fingertips, you can book and stay in any accommodation in Nigeria,” she stated.
