Mrs. Dupe Olusola, the MD/CEO of Transcorp Hotels Plc., in her remarks, highlighted the significance of receiving such awards, despite the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on the hospitality industry.

“The awards show how innovative our business has been; improving our offerings and introducing new ideas in line with our commitment to continue to offer guests exclusive and exceptional experiences. We understand that the needs of our customers are evolving to be more experience-driven, hence our focus on ensuring every experience at any of our touchpoints is memorable,” Mrs. Olusola said.

She added that Transcorp Hotels Plc has worked extensively to cater holistically to the needs of its guests and hospitality stakeholders and this is evident in the barrier-breaking projects the company has been executing.

Earlier in the year, the hospitality giant launched Workspace by Transcorp Hotels, a co-working space with private offices and a board room at Transcorp Hilton Abuja. According to the company, plans are on track to take the co-working space brand to different locations, fitted within an atmosphere with the experience of relevant services perfect for today’s workers.

The World Travel Awards was established in 1993 to acknowledge, reward, and celebrate excellence across all key sectors of the travel, tourism and hospitality industries, and 2021 marks the 28th anniversary of the award ceremony. Its annual programme is renowned as the most prestigious and comprehensive in the global industry.
