Suspected Ansaru terrorists who bombed Abuja-Kaduna train and abducted dozens of passengers have released a pregnant passenger.
In a video obtained by DAILY NIGERIAN, the woman (name withheld) called on the federal government to negotiate with the terrorists to save the lives of others who are still with them.
She said their captors took care of them, fed them well and even gave them medication.
DAILY NIGERIAN quoted security sources as saying no ransom was paid to secure her release.
The source also dismissed reports that one woman gave birth in the den of the terrorists.
The Federal Government had promised to secure the release of the over 60 passengers abducted on March 28. 2022, but majority of them are still in captivity.
Two were reportedly released after parting with huge ransom.
The freed victims – the Managing Director of Bank of Agriculture, Alwan Hassan and the son of the Convener of the Northern Elders Forum, Prof. Ango Abdullahi – spent weeks in captivity.
Relatives of the remaining passengers in the terrorists den have cried out to the Federal Government to secure the release of their loves ones.
