A girl was yesterday crushed by a trailer at the Akpajo axis of East West road of Rivers State.
A witness said the young girl met her death when she wanted to meander through a traffic grid at Akpajo junction.

The witness said the trailer hit the deceased as she was about to cross the road.
“I was here when it happened . The girl was trying to stroll through the traffic and as she was about crossing, the trailer crushed her,” the witness said, explaining that a collapsed section of the East West Road aided the incident, as the collapse worsened the traffic situation around the scene.
