A young traffic officer with the Anambra State Road Traffic Management Agency (ARTMA), Chizoba Ifedioranma, has been honoured as the most committed traffic officer in the state by a women’s organisation.
Ifedioranma got the recognition by the Ultimate Business Women and Farmers Association of Nigeria (UBWFAN) at its National Convention 2024 held in Awka, Anambra State.
Presenting the certificate of award and token amount from the organization, the president, Nkiru Nwagbo, said the young man had demonstrated uncommon passion and commitment in discharging his job.
According to her, his passion and entertainment displayed on duty exuded extraordinary commitment they couldn’t ignore, thus, the recognition.

Speaking to our reporter shortly after he received the award, Ifedioranma said it gave him joy seeing people smile while he was on duty.
He said he is happy and joyful when the road is cleared and traffic is flowing normally.
On why he chose traffic control which is not a well-paying job, he said during the construction of a flyover in Awka, he saw a woman crying bitterly that she had been on traffic for hours and her child was left with no one in the school. So, he felt the pain and decided to aid traffic decongestion.
