The National Development Mega Summit of Traditional Rulers have decried the plight of internally displaced persons in the country, especially women and children.
The Ovie of Uvwie Kingdom, Delta State, Emmanuel Sideso, said without peace, there cannot be a development in a country.

Sideso, who is the chairman of the governing council of the summit, spoke Monday in Abuja during the second National Development Mega Summit of Traditional Rulers Governing Council meeting.
The monarch said the future of children living in IDPs was uncertain.
He said the council was fully aware of the insecurity and other challenges in the country.
He said traditional rulers would work with the federal and state governments to proffer solutions.
Also speaking, the Emir of Akko, Gombe State, Alhaji Umar Mohammed Atiku, who chaired the meeting, said traditional rulers would continue to preach the message of peace in their respective domains.
