Traditional ruler seeks peace in Southern Kaduna

The Traditional ruler of Ham Chiefdom, Kpok Ham Danladi Gyet Maude has asked residents of his chiefdom to shun violence and embrace peace.

The chief said the sole objective of all the messengers of God was to established love, peace and unity on earth.

Kpok Ham stated in an Interfaith Prayer and International Peace Day program organized by Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) and Jama’atu Nasril Islam (JNI) in partnership with Global Peace Foundation and Interfaith Mediation Center, at his palace in Qwoi, Jaba Local Government Headquarters in Kaduna state.

Speaking at the session, Sheikh Halliru Maraya and Reverend Hayab, from Global Peace Foundation lamented how Nigerians, who flock churches on Sundays and fill the mosques on Fridays, ended up in killing each other in avoidable religious related crisis.

Sheikh Maraya revealed that research has it that Nigeria has recorded the lost of over 19, 000 people between June, 2015 and September, 2018 in different kinds of crisis across the country.

Also speaking, Reverend Hayab said wickedness and terrorism knows no religion, calling on Nigerians to be like America, where Japanese, Israelis, Arabs and Africans becomes citizens of the country, thus they advanced in world’s technology.
