Minister of Trade, Industry and Investment, Okechukwu Enelamah is expected to commission the PAN Nigeria Limited Shade Tree Youth Empowerment Initiative (STYEI) aimed at tackling youth unemployment and restiveness in Kaduna.
A statement by the Public Relations Officer of PAN, Haroun Malami said the project will provide employment generation, wealth creation, modernization and standardization of practices and skills within the service arena of the Automotive Industry.
According to the statement, "The company and the Board of Trustees of STYEI under the leadership of Mr. Ibrahim Boyi, Managing Director/CEO and Engr. Otis Oliver Anyaeji, President Nigerian Society of Engineers and Chairman Board of Trustees of STYEI, have concluded plans of PAN’s unveiling of its CSR programme, the Shade Tree Youth Empowerment Initiative.
"Boyi, described the project as an industry specific initiative for empowerment of Nigerian youth who are willing and committed to becoming entrepreneurs within the service value chain of the automotive industry.
“With estimated $700 million dollar revenue, the project will provide employment generation, wealth creation, modernization and standardization of practices and skills within the service arena of the Automotive Industry.
"The prototype of STYEI garage will be officially commission by the Hon. Minister of Trade, Industry and Investment, Mr. Okechukwu Enelamah, to be supported by UNDP country director and other development partners."
