Nollywood actress and filmmaker, Toyin Abraham, has written an open letter to Nigeria’s President, Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
She highlighted in the heartfelt letter that her support for the incoming administration was not based on religious or racial factors, but rather on her confidence in his ability to lead.
The actress also emphasised the serious issues the nation faces and urged the president to take steps in resolving them.
Toyin urged the president to ease the anger of the youth population and win back their trust.
She noted that endorsing his candidature was a personal decision; despite insults and threats against her life and business. The actress said she is still committed to supporting his leadership because she has direct knowledge of his ability to rule in Lagos and his previous record of public service.
