The Nigerian Institute of Town Planners (NITP) and the Town Planners Registration Council of Nigeria (TOPREC) have demanded an equitable compensation for the planning professionals across all sectors.
This, they submitted, would help establish and uphold standards and value in their professional engagements.
The National President of NITP, Nathaniel Atebije, made the call during the 25th edition of the Mandatory Continuing Professional Development Programme (MCPDP) held in Abeokuta, Ogun State, on Wednesday.
Atebije said that securing an appropriate fees for services rendered spoke directly of the sustainability and growth of the profession.

On his part, the President of TOPREC, Isyaku Kura, explained that the professionals deserved salaries and benefits that reflected their expertise, responsibilities and impact.
The Ogun State Commissioner for Physical Planning and Urban Development, Olatunji Odunlami, was in attendance.
