He lamented the situation where many able and willing Tiv sons and daughters are denied opportunities to serve their nation, despite “the fact that the Tiv ethnic group paid a heavy sacrifice to keep Nigeria as an indivisible nation.”
He made the call on Tuesday when he played host to the new Air Officer Commanding (AOC) Tactical Air Command, Makurdi, Air Vice Marshal JM Gbum, at his palace in Gboko.
He urged the AOC, who also hails from the area, to convey his grievances to the armed forces while he offered prayers for God to protect him in the new assignment and assured of the traditional institution’s continued support to the Nigerian Airforce.
Earlier, the Airforce chief had thanked the Tor Tiv and his council for maintaining a cordial relationship with the Nigerian Airforce.
