Toke Makinwa to FG: Credit every Nigerian’s account

Celebrity media personality, Toke Makinwa, has advised the federal government to pay every Nigerian at least N10,000 to cushion the effects of the lockdown on them.

Makinwa disclosed this via her Twitter page: @tokstarr, after President Muhammadu Buhari extended the lockdown on FCT, Lagos and Ogun states by 14 days.

“Lockdown, lockdown, the least you can do is credit everyone’s account, even if it’s 10k. BVN is available yet you want those who have resorted to being their own government die of hunger? 14 days more is about to bite even harder,” she stated.

Toke said the next fourteen days will be tough for Nigerians as the lockdown was extended.

It will be recalled that President Buhari had on Monday extended the lockdown in Lagos, Ogun, and the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) to contain the spread of coronavirus in the country.
