A group, the Tiv Youth Council Worldwide has expressed gratitude to president Muhammadu Buhari for approving the establishment of three federal tertiary institutions in Benue State.

President of the group, Mike Msuaan, who made the commendation in a statement issued on Tuesday in Abuja, said Tiv nation and the entire people of Benue were grateful to the president for the establishment of the Federal University of Health in Otukpo, the College of Education in Apa and recently, the Federal Polytechnic inWanune.

According to him, the gesture of President Buhari was unprecedented in the history of Nigeria.

The group also appreciated the Minister of Special Duties and Inter-Governmental Affairs, Sen. George Akume for attracting the institutions to Benue State, urging him to maintain a solid relationship with President Buhari for more dividends of democracy for the people.

According to Msuaan, President Buhari has embarked on other projects that are beneficial to the people of Benue State, such as the conversion of the Zaki-Biam Yam Market to an International Yam Market, the rehabilitation work on the bridges across River Benue and Katsina-Ala and the work on some federal roads in the state.

He stated that the people of Benue were grateful to President Buhari and will remain supportive of his administration and policies which he said are targeted at benefiting the generality of the masses of the country.

Recall that the Tiv Youth Council Worldwide declared its supports for the re-election of President Muhammadu Buhari in 2019 and traversed the state and country to canvass support for President Buhari.

“When the council took the decision to endorse and work for the re-election of President Buhari, it was in acknowledgement of his people-centred policies. This gesture to Benue State has vindicated our efforts for his re-election”, he said.

The group’s president maintained that, with the siting of several federal institutions in the state amongst other things, President Buhari has endeared himself to the people of Benue State.
