Governor Samuel Ortom of Benue State has commissioned the Tito Multi-purpose Centre (TMC) in Makurdi, the state capital.
The centre, which has a farmers’ market, grocery, children playground, among others is a private initiative owned by the president of Tito Group of Companies, Chief Isaac Akinkunmi.

While commissioning the facility at the weekend, Ortom described the head of the group as a resilient entrepreneur who had contributed to the development of the state’s economy.
Akinkunmi, on his part, appreciated the governor for being proactive and resourceful, saying his administration’s anti-open grazing law has become a pacesetter in the country.
Highlights of the ceremony including the cutting of tape for the centre and the presentation of awards to deserving staff of the company.
