Members of God’s Gift Ministry, a new generation church in the Pipeline area of Kubwa, a satellite town in Bwari Area Council of the FCT, were on Sunday thrown into panic after their offering and tithes got missing during service.
A member of the church, Benjamin Chuks, who disclosed this to City & Crime, said, “We collected offerings and tithes around 10am on Sunday. It was prayed for as usual and taken to the church office, but before the closure of church it was discovered that the bags were missing. How it they got missing is what we don’t know.”
In a chat with our reporter, the pastor of the church, Tunde Olayinka, confirmed the incident, saying it remained a mystery to him and his members.
While stating that the matter was not reported to the police, he expressed optimism that the thieves won’t go unpunished as “God is the ultimate judge.”
