Tinubu’s ministerial list reflection of women’s efforts — Dogonbauchi

The Arewa Women for Tinubu/Shettima has hailed the nomination of capable women into the cabinet of President Bola Tinubu, saying the appointments reflect the efforts made by women across the country in installing the present administration.

In a statement made available to journalists in Abuja on Sunday, the group noted that since assumption of office President Tinubu hit the ground running by setting the right and decisive tone in the quest to renew the hopes of Nigerians for a more prosperous nation.

The group’s President and Director, Grassroots Engagement and Orientation of the All Progressives Congress (APC) PCC, Saadatu Garba Dogonbauchi, congratulated the nominees, “especially the formidable women, for the confidence placed in them by our dear president.”

She said, “The Arewa woman, and by extension the Nigerian woman, is convinced with a resonating hope that the true progressive women will give a strong impetus to women’s involvement in governance in the agenda of President Tinubu.

“The promise has always been affirmative action on women’s involvement in governance, and we appreciate the fact that women that support women are right there at the top to represent and chart a pathway for growth and development of their fellow women in Nigeria.

“In the build-up to the elections, women across Nigeria have worked so hard for the emergence of Bola Ahmed Tinubu. The ministerial nominations reflect the efforts and appreciation of the fact that the average woman is an important pillar of the society and has the capacity to do well in governance.”
