Tinubu’s election won’t go way of Abiola – APC group

The top echelon of the Tinubu/Shettima School to School Campaign Organisation has said the election of the presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Bola Ahmed Tinubu, won’t be annulled like that of MKO Abiola.

Addressing a press conference on Thursday in Abuja, the national coordinator of the group, Hamza Auta, said the Tinubu/Shettima ticket is a perfect match and would address the socio-economic and political challenges bedevilling the country.

He expressed optimism that the 2023 general elections would free, fair and credible, hence Tinubu would be announced the winner.

Asked if he was not afraid the MKO Abiola scenario of 1993 might play out, Auta said, “The election will not go like that of MKO Abiola. I can assure you that 2023 will be the best election Nigeria will ever witness.”

He said, “Nigeria is the most populous country in Africa, projected to be the 4th populous in the world by 2050. If Nigeria succeeds at democratic governance, it will be an anchor for all of West Africa.

“Africa needs a strong Nigeria. Tinubu and Shettima need our support and votes to make this happen.”
