The founder and primate of the Evangelical Church of Yahweh Worldwide, Theophilus Olabayo, has prophesied that the presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Asiwaju Bola Tinubu, will win the 2023 election.

The primate also said Tinubu will work with chieftains of other political parties, including the presidential candidate of Labour Party, Peter Obi.

“Before Anambra election, I said Soludo (Charles) would win; I also prophesied that APC would win in Ekiti while PDP would be victorious in Osun. Prophets don’t speak except there is a revelation. If there will be an election at all because there will be a bloodbath if politicians don’t stop their bad language and sponsoring of thugs to kill and assassinate, the candidate of the APC will win. If he wins, he is going to use people from other parties and technocrats to turn things around.

“Obi has bright ideas, but he is not ready yet. This is not his time. He will be one of those who will work with the candidate of the APC to turn things around in the country,” he said.

He warned politicians to desist from hate speech and sponsoring political thugs ahead of the elections.

He said the action, if not checked, could frustrate the successful conduct of the election and lead to violence and bloodbath in the land.

“Political leaders should stop instigating violence and hate speech. They should not sponsor thugs to ruin this election because it is not going to help the country.

“We don’t want to go back to the era of insecurity and political assassination,” he warned, while calling for the preaching of peace by political and religious leaders.

“We should all come together. Let the fear of God take over. There should be no discrimination. We should preach peace and love our neighbours,” he added.

He urged President Muhammadu Buhari, to among other things, urgently address the lingering industrial action by university lecturers, unemployment and corruption by enthroning accountability.
