The House of Representatives has lost another member, Rep. Ekene Abubakar Adams representing Chikun/Kajuru Federal Constituency of Kaduna State.
His death came six days after the death of Rep. Olajide Akinremi, the member representing Ibadan North Federal Constituency of Oyo State at 51.
In a statement on Tuesday, the House spokesperson, Rep. Akin Rotimi Jr, stated that, the late Kaduna lawmaker died early Tuesday, at the age of 39.
Meanwhile, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has commiserated with the National Assembly and the people and government of Kaduna State over the passing of Honourable Adams.

Ajuri Ngelale, Special Adviser to the President on Media and Publicity in a statement, urged the relatives to take solace in the legacies left behind by the lawmaker.
President Tinubu prayed for the repose of the soul of the departed lawmaker and strength to his family.
Also, the Speaker of the House of Representatives, Abbas Tajuddeen and his Deputy, Benjamin Kalu have expressed their sadness over the death of the federal lawmaker.
The speaker, while announcing the Lawmakers’ death at a brief plenary session held on Tuesday described the lawmakers’ death as tragic and a big loss.
In line with the House tradition, the House adjourned sitting to honour the late Rep. Ekene after observing a minute of silence.
Speaker Abbas led a delegation of the House to the Abuja residence of the late Ekene where he condoled with his wife and parents.
Prayers were offered for the repose of the soul of the late lawmaker.
Similarly, the national chairman of the Labour Party (LP), Barrister Julius Abure, has expressed sadness over the death of one of its lawmakers, Adams.
Abure said on Tuesday, in a statement, that the news of the death of Hon. Adams came to him on Tuesday morning as a rude shock.
He said he personally interacted very closely with the late federal lawmaker and that he was one who spoke truth to power even at his young age.
Also, the LP presidential candidate in last year’s general election, Peter Obi, said Adams untimely death at the age of 39 is a tragic loss to the nation.
