A national leader of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Asiwaju Bola Tinubu, yesterday revalidated his membership of the party amidst lingering disquiet over the exercise.
There has been uncertainty in the state over the registration exercise, following moves by some aggrieved members of the party to challenge the leadership of Tinubu.

Daily Trust reports that a group of chieftains led by Mr Fouad Oki had vowed to take over the leadership of the party from Tinubu, starting with the membership registration exercise.
But Tinubu, whose membership was revalidated on Saturday, did not make a statement on the exercise, as well as the lingering disquiet over the outcome.
The exercise was carried out by the chairman, APC South-West Zonal Monitoring Team, Membership Revalidation, and Registration Exercise, Senator Lawal Shuaibu with the governor of Lagos State, Babajide Sanwo-Olu; Osun Governor Isiaka Adegboyega Oyetola, among other chieftains of the party in attendance.
