President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has approved the reappointment of Dr Bayero Salih Farah as the Director General/Chief Executive Officer of the Nigerian Institute of Transport Technology, Zaria.
Dr Farah is reappointed for a second term tenure of four years.
The reappointment was contained in a letter signed by the Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Sen. George Akume, according to a statement issued by the Institute’s head, Press and Public Relations Unit, John Kolawole.
He said the letter states that the appointment is with effect from January 13, 2024 and that the emoluments and other Conditions of Service shall be as provided under the NITT Act.
Dr Farah possesses a track record of sterling and exceptional performance which led to the massive and unprecedented transformation of NITT, unrivaled since the inception of the Institute in 1986.
Dr Bayero who holds a PhD from the University of Huddersfield, United Kingdom, joined the services of NITT in 1994 as a Senior Staff Development Officer, having earlier worked as a classroom teacher and later as a National Population Census Cartographic Officer.
