Tinubu promises to explore Kebbi’s agric potential

The presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Ahmed Bola Tinubu has promised to explore the agricultural potentials of Kebbi State and make its farmers participate in the 21st-century economy.

Tinubu, while addressing supporters of the party at the Aliero Abdul Township Stadium in Birnin Kebbi yesterday, said Kebbi State was unarguably the largest grower of rice in Nigeria and has potential in fish farming which could boost the state’s and Nigeria’s economy.

He added that Lagos/Kebbi agricultural partnership would be expanded to help develop the economy of the state.

“We will give you the best economy. We will help fishermen in the state to grow their business and the Argungu fishing festival will become a bigger business event,” he said.

Tinubu also promised Kebbi electorates that if elected in the coming elections, he would tackle banditry and poverty, adding that he would work with the state to achieve its economic development.
