President Bola Ahmed Tinubu is currently presiding over the Federal Executive Council (FEC) meeting at the Presidential Villa, Abuja.
The meeting follows last week’s decision of the Council to defer memoranda for several key projects overseen by the Federal Ministry of Works.
Minister of Information and National Orientation, Mohammed Idris, had said the affected projects, were those inherited from previous administrations.
The move government said was to ensure probity, proficiency, and diligence in the execution of these projects.

Before the commencement of the meeting, Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF), Senator George Akume, formally notified the Council of the demise of Alhaji Ahmed Muhammed Gusua, a former cabinet member and former Deputy Governor of Old Sokoto State.
He therefore called for a minute silence in honour of the memory of Gusau, who died in May this year.
The meeting is being attended by Vice President Kassim Shettima; the National Security Adviser (NSA), Nuhu Ribadu; the Head of Civil Service of the Federation, Dr Folashade Yemi Esan; the Chief of Staff to the President, Femi Gbajabiamila, as well as other cabinet members.
